Supporting Humane Farmers This Holiday Season
“I feel the future of farming is and will be greatly impacted by FACT, and I look forward to seeing a world of humane farmers who are dedicated to raising their farm animals in a humane and healthy manner and creating a healthy new food system.”
Lisa Keim, FACT Supporter
This past year has been challenging for many across the U.S., and farmers have been hit particularly hard by rising costs and government funding cuts. Many of the more than 12,000 farmers in our network are struggling to keep their farms running.
Now, more than ever, it is crucial to support these farmers. FACT is committed to helping farmers raise their animals humanely, on pasture, in natural settings. Through grants, webinars, scholarships, and our mentorship program, we’ve helped improve the lives of more than 60 million food animals—and we need your support to continue this important work.
Spotlight on a Farmer and FACT Board member: Chris Muse

Chris Muse, owner of Muse 3 Farm in St. Helena Parish, Louisiana, has been providing fresh meat to three school districts through USDA funding since 2022. Unfortunately, this funding was cut mid-contract this year, creating challenges for both his farm and the schools he serves.
In a local news interview, Chris said:
“We’re not doing justice to our community if we cannot get our products into those school systems.”
Several years ago, Chris received a Fund-a-Farmer grant from FACT, which allowed him to scale up his operations:
“FACT funding enabled me to greatly enhance my rotational grazing capabilities for my food animals. Interior fencing was added to separate my farm into multiple paddocks, and a fresh water supply is now available in each of my paddocks.”
In 2026, FACT plans to distribute $250,000 directly to farmers through grants. Your donation helps make this possible.

“It is impossible to overstate the impact FACT has had on our farm. Since 2020, I've been engaged in the network via the Humane Farming Mentorship Program, the Fund-A-Farmer grants, webinars as a host and attendee, financial training bootcamp, and so much more. The quality of resources and support FACT offers is truly second to none. Supporting FACT is critical to making it possible for high-welfare livestock farms like ours to remain viable.”
Why Your Support Matters
Farmers need our help now more than ever. FACT believes in helping small, independent farmers who are providing all of us with healthy food while working to create a healthier, more humane food system.
Together, we can put an end to factory farming and inhumane living conditions for animals. By supporting FACT, you are supporting humane farmers and the animals in their care.
This holiday season, please consider making a gift of $48, $115, $285, $570, or another meaningful amount. Your support allows us to continue providing grants, mentorship, and educational resources to farmers dedicated to raising animals humanely.
Thank you for your support of FACT. From all of us, we wish you and your loved ones a joyous, healthy, and wonderful holiday season.
