David Cann is a Washington, D.C.-based labor attorney and movement strategist with over 20 years of experience fighting for working people. He currently serves as the Director of the Membership and Organization Department for the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE, AFL-CIO), where he leads national mobilization, recruitment, and growth strategies for the country's largest federal employee union. Deeply committed to issues of justice and equity, David serves on the Board of Directors for Union Plus, AFL-CIO as well as the Food Animal Concerns Trust (FACT).
