Kristen McPhee
I am honored to serve as a member of the FACT Board of Directors. My career has been guided by a passion for connecting agriculture, nutrition, and science to improve the health of people, animals, and the environment.
After earning my Organic Farming Certificate from Michigan State University, I apprenticed on several organic farms to gain hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture. I then managed educational farming programs for the Chicago Botanic Garden and other nonprofit organizations, where I worked alongside growers, educators, and community partners to expand access to fresh, healthy food and connect people with the land. Those experiences instilled a deep appreciation for the essential role farmers play in building resilient communities and healthy food systems.
Today, I work in scientific research and regulatory affairs for the natural products industry, helping translate nutrition and botanical research into evidence-based products and educational resources. My work focuses on scientific integrity, responsible sourcing, product safety, and regulatory strategy while making complex science accessible to consumers, healthcare professionals, and industry partners.
FACT's mission deeply resonates with my own values. I believe that supporting independent farmers, advancing humane animal welfare, and promoting regenerative agriculture are essential to creating a healthier and more sustainable food system. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute my experience in nutrition science, sustainable agriculture, and public health to help further FACT's mission and support the farmers who make it possible.
